Holy Redeemer Foundation

The Holy Redeemer Foundation was formed in 1978 to create a fund that would produce earnings to be used to offset future operating costs of Holy Redeemer Parish. Only the earnings on donor contributions can be used by the parish.

Donors may select from the following categories within the Foundation for their contributions:

Holy Redeemer School

  • Tuition Reduction
  • Computer Equipment
  • Fine Arts
  • Athletic Equipment
  • Uncommitted

Holy Redeemer Parish

  • Building Upkeep
  • Uncommitted
  • Campus Ministry

The principal remains in the fund and on an annual basis the earnings are presented to the Parish Finance Council to use in the current budget year. All contributions received by the Foundation, which are not earmarked by the donor for a particular area, are added to the Parish Uncommitted fund balance and the Parish Finance Council selects how the earnings should be used. In addition to cash, the Foundation can receive real estate, securities, leases, mortgages, and most any instrument of value. The contribution amount to the parish budget from the Foundation has increased each year of its existence. In the last 10 years, the Foundation has contributed in excess of $1,002,150 to the parish budget process.

The Foundation continues to grow with a current balance of over $3.6 million. We are very thankful for all that have made contributions over the years!

The Foundation can be contacted through Greg Cattoor, President -507-532-4707 or  the parish office at 503 West Lyon St., Marshall, MN 56258 or by phone at: 507-532-5711.
